Canadian & US cartoonists on The Zoomer
Last May I headed off to Toronto to attend the Association of Canadian Cartoonists convention and spend time with some of my favorite colleagues and friends. While there a small group of us appeared on The Zoomer to talk shop and show our work. Conrad Black (yes, that Conrad Black) is a regular participate on the network and also a frequent target of my Canadian colleagues over the years, as you’ll hear about in the interview. Terry Mosher (aka Aislin), a longtime friend, from the Montreal Gazette gives some great insights and of course wonderful quips.

GW Bush campaigns for Jeb in South Carolina
The Jeb! Bush campaign has decided to bet on the fact Americans have the collective memory of a gnat when it comes to a misguided war built on deception and political agendas. (cartoons from the archive:)
Recorded interview at CTNexpo
Last year I gave a presentation at the CTNexpo in Burbank, CA. This very popular annual animation conference hosted by Tina Price is packed with the biggest names in the field who hold workshops and presentations for fans and others interested in the animation field. Since the theme was “One of a Kind”, I was invited to talk about my transition from animation to editorial cartooning. Here’s a link to a recorded studio interview CTN did while I was in town. I’ll post the link to the actual presentation soon.
The Democratic and Republican debates before the New Hampshire primary
This past Wednesday CNN hosted a Democratic town hall with the last two standing, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders (click images to see all my sketches over at the Washington Post).
On Thursday the Democrats held their last debate before the primary
…and the Republicans held their debate. We’re down to only 8 candidates now!

Russian cartoonist Victor Bogorad
I’ve been meaning to post these wonderful sketches by the Russian cartoonist Victor Bogorad ever since my return from the Memorial de Caen Dessin de Presse conference. During a panel where we discussed religion and if there are limits in cartooning Victor was sitting in the audience, busily sketching. He made a little booklet out of them which he presented to me afterwards. I find his work quietly powerful, which not many people can accomplish.
